You are probably asking “What are we doing here?”. Through the many late nights that our team at Green Cricket has endured getting to this point, we’ve all asked ourselves that same question many times.

Timing is important in business, but so is doing the right thing. At the time that I was thinking about a “green emporium” earlier this year, I was motivated by the desire to get the right information to the consumer in a marketplace where many of my friends expressed frustration over the amount of research needed to “shop well” for their children and husbands, AND help the planet all at the same time! Who has time to do it?

So we decided to do the work to source products that met our environmental criteria and then tell the consumer about what was good and not as good about what we chose. Because “green” is a spectrum and we don’t pretend to be a regulator or certifying body, we are here to tell you how these products measured up. Buying is up to you! Our job is to find the products that we think you should know about, and then make it easy for you to buy them.

We hope Green Cricket gives you the convenience of learning and shopping without leaving your home and takes the guess work out of finding good products for your home and family. But mostly we hope you’ll enjoy the site and learn something from our independent experts and the other consumers that share their opinion.

Shopping can be good, and fun. The timing’s better than ever too.
